Resident Council
Through participation in the Resident Council, patients and family members have a voice in what goes on within the facility. The council provides an opportunity to express suggestions and concerns, so that the administration and staff can better serve their needs.
Visiting Information
Visiting hours are from 1:00 pm to 8:00 pm daily. Permission to visit at other times of the day can be arranged in advance by contacting the Director of Nursing.
Any food items brought to the facility for a patient must be pre-approved by the nursing staff for compliance with the patient’s dietary requirements.
Visitors must dress as to be in compliance with the Health and Safety Code. Shoes and shirts must be worn in this setting.
Activities
The patients at Evergreen are encouraged to be as independent and active as possible. The Activity Staff fosters this independence by providing activities that are meaningful, fun and serve to build one’s self esteem and morale. Activities take place daily and include:
- Gardening
- Live Music and Entertainment
- Games and Sports
- Arts and Crafts
- Ceramics
- Religious and Spiritual Programs
- Parties
- Movies
- Trips and Tours
- Cooking Classes
- Exercise & Fitness
- In-room programs for those unable to participate in group activities
- Community service oriented activities
- Intergenerational activities such as the Adopt-a-Grandparent program
- Wi-Fi
- Tea Parties
- Library
- Book and Cart
- Pet Therapy
Family members are encouraged to participate in all of these programs with the patients.
